2025 round-up – what a lovely year and thank you for all of us at Fresh Breeze Home
2025 round-up – what a lovely year and thank you for all of us at Fresh Breeze Home
While many established damp proofing companies have begun subcontracting their work, we have taken a very different approach. A key question homeowners should ask is how a company can promise long-term guarantees if their work is carried out by subcontracted tradespeople who have no long-term connection to the business or its reputation. These individuals are often simply filling gaps in their own schedules, with little investment beyond completing the job and moving on.
We can confidently and honestly say that none of our damp proofing works are subcontracted. The only third-party contractors we use are for scaffolding. Every survey, recommendation and installation is handled by our in-house team, ensuring consistency, accountability and quality at every stage.
As times get tougher, reliability has become more important than ever for our customers. This is one of the main reasons we continue to win work when competing against long-established damp proofing companies. We are 97.6% faster than the industry average when it comes to booking damp surveys, issuing quotations and scheduling works with our engineering team.
The average cost of a damp proofing project we undertake is £3,390, and we are consistently able to book installation start dates within 14 days of a customer accepting our quotation. This is significantly faster than any other damp proofing company we are aware of.
Our rescheduling rate for damp surveys currently sits at just 3.2%, a figure that includes both free and paid surveys. Considering that most of our surveys are offered free of charge, this is a statistic we are extremely proud of. We attend surveys on time 98.7% of the time.
To better understand the wider industry, we tested several established damp proofing companies ourselves. In one instance, we booked a survey with a leading provider that charged a £160 call-out fee. After paying this fee, the survey was rescheduled three times. For a homeowner living at the property, this level of service is unacceptable, particularly when combined with a high upfront charge. This is a service we provide free of charge, without compromising reliability.
While no company can claim absolute perfection, we are proud to be transparent about our performance. This year, we recorded a callback rate of just 0.9%, primarily relating to minor plaster cracking. This reflects the high standards our team consistently delivers on site.
As 2025 comes to an end, we have continued to invest heavily in our surveyor department. This includes state-of-the-art equipment and technology that allows us to diagnose issues accurately and provide homeowners with clear, professional and honest advice.
There is no doubt that we are now one of the fastest-growing damp proofing companies in the capital. Over the past year alone, we have damp proofed 614 properties, including both commercial and international projects.
Looking ahead to 2026, we remain fully committed to delivering an exemplary service at a time when speed, trust and reliability matter more than ever.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
